For such emergencies, we have configured a Veoci system to provide an alternate means of crisis communications integrating voice, email, SMS, and system alerts through an independent channel configured as a dark site outside of all company IT infrastructure. The emergency response system has been extended to cover other emergencies like fire or flood or any disruption in the supply chain or payments. It is possible to identify the applications that are most critical for operations to continue. We configure the system to take in various start points depending on the situation so that the Enterprise can continue to operate its critical functions.

Drills and Crash exercises: ICAO and FAA regulations require that airports conduct a full-scale exercise every three years to rehearse with all the entities that would be involved in an actual emergency. The purpose of the exercise is to evaluate the preparedness and capabilities of the airport, its tenants, and local response agencies. In addition, the annual crash exercise/drill is conducted according to aerodrome licensing requirements and a large airport will conduct over 100 + drills, exercises, and training webinars covering operational crisis and emergency response scenarios. Representative areas that can be covered may include equipment malfunctions, system failures, severe weather, local disruptions like public unrest, or health incidents like Covid-19 issues. A couple was recently offloaded in the US for trying to fly while Covid positive.

INSPECTIONS UNDER ANNEX 14 AND PART 139

Inspections are a mandatory requirement and strict compliance must be ensured. These fall under FAA Part 139 or ICAO Annex 14 depending on the affiliation. The Regulatory Authority regularly audits all functions to ensure compliance.

Meet Our Founder and MD

Maninder Singh Grewal

Maninder Singh Grewal is the Managing Director of iPrime Services Pvt Ltd.

A high school topper on the ISCE/Senior Cambridge Examination, he achieved an All-India Rank of 54 in the JEE and joined IIT Kharagpur. He graduated in 1973 with a First-Class Honors degree in Mechanical Engineering. After IIT, while he was admitted to the graduate program at both Stanford and Berkeley, he chose to stay in India and join his family business.
For the past decade, he has developed iPrime as the partner for the leading software platform for Emergency Management, Veoci. iPrime provides technical expertise and coding for both the Mobile and Desktop software platform, a leading-edge QA team that fits into the Veoci Two-week Agile software development process, a specialized team to develop and support solutions in a futuristic no-code system, and a sales and marketing support operation. The new Mobile app has been developed entirely by a team in India.
Beginning with a Compaq Portable x86 computer brought from the US in 1985, he started developing tools for the Banks and industries in his hometown of Ludhiana. He changed his family’s principal line of business to Computing and Information Tech and in 1989, began a long and fruitful relationship with Wipro and its leadership including Mr. Azim Premji and Mr. Ashok Soota, as Wipro’s principal vendor for the region’s north of Delhi.

Over the years Maninder delivered a very wide range of solutions and services. These included migrating the Ludhiana Stock Exchange to electronic trading, installing, and maintaining systems and software tow large 1500-bed teaching hospitals, both of whom continue to be clients two decades after the first transaction. Other assignments included a major system for the Indian Army’s premier Armoured Division based in Punjab.

As Wipro’s reseller and VAR, he won awards each year for his company’s performance and contributions. During this period iPrime developed partnerships and relationships with Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, EMC, Acer, SAP, and other international computer companies and their leadership. Started in 1989, iPrime continues to serve
small and medium business in Punjab and has successfully retained customers through all these years.
While he continued his work with iPrime in Punjab, in 2006 he took on additional responsibility as the MD for a Delhi-based group managing a Fintech company and a Healthcare Information Systems building on his previous experience of decades with the two-large Hospitals. He was personally invited by the Group leadership to lead an initiative to discuss a high-level partnership with Microsoft chaired by Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft.

iPrime has transformed from selling computers and services to a full-service company including software development and application configuration.
He was Cochair of the Noida Regional Council for NASSCOM and played a seminal role in conceptualizing and chairing the Annual National Tech Conferences for the initial sessions till 2019. He recognized the future of Data Science and conceptualized the Data Analytics Conference. While the Tech Conference focuses on pure Technology for pioneers and evangelists in leading-edge computing technologies, the second keeps data analytics including AI and ML, as its theme. Both conferences are now in their 10th year and are mainstream conferences in the Nasscom calendar
With an introduction to Bridge in the dorms of IIT Kharagpur, a lifelong hobby emerged. Along the way, he was on the Championship team at IIT. With the advent of the Internet, Bridge was no longer limited to playing at Clubs and a limited set of partners and opponents. A frequent presence on Bridgebase, he sometimes partners with his niece who was also a US National Collegiate Champion with the Stanford Bridge team.

In 2022, iPrime helped secure a game-changing order in the Aviation sector to digitize and transform airside operations for a large Airport operator. It is one of the biggest orders for Veoci and one that will transform an industry. It will bring in a digital framework in an essential, compliance, and safety-driven environment where there is no margin for error. iPrime has led this project on behalf of our associates and will be executing this in India.

Continuing with the focus on Aviation, we delivered an Emergency Response Management solution to one of the largest airlines in Asia – a project managed and delivered from our NOIDA location. The project covers over 75 locations served by the airline. The success has led to subsequent orders for other related crisis response management scenarios and a full BCP.
